Quits
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Quits ("the app", "we") helps people split shared costs in groups. This policy
explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We do not sell your data, show
ads, or use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Information we collect
- Account. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email
address and name to create your account.
- Profile. Your display name and, if you add them, an avatar photo,
birthday, and Telegram username.
- Groups & expenses. The groups you create or join, their members,
purchases, amounts, and settlements you record.
- Receipt photos. If you scan a receipt, the photo is uploaded and
processed to extract line items and totals.
- Notifications. A device push token so we can send you notifications,
and your Telegram chat id if you connect the Telegram bot.
How we use it
- To provide the core service: creating groups, splitting costs, and showing
who owes whom.
- To send notifications you ask for (a member added you, a settlement was
recorded, payment reminders).
- To read receipts you choose to scan and turn them into expense items.
- To operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Service providers
We share the minimum necessary data with providers that run parts of the app:
- Google and Apple - sign-in.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) - delivering push notifications.
- OpenAI - reading receipt photos you scan (image sent for processing only when you scan).
- Amazon Web Services (S3) - storing avatar and receipt images.
- Telegram - only if you connect the optional Telegram bot.
Our application data is stored on servers operated by SupafastTech LLC. We do not
sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account at any
time from the app (Profile → delete account), which removes your profile and
personal data. Some records may remain where another group member still needs the
shared history, and we may retain limited data as required by law.
Children
Quits is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country),
and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or delete your information. Contact us and we will
help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such
as the GDPR or CCPA.
Changes
We may update this policy; we will revise the date above when we do.
